Preferably 2-3 years in power station or heavy industry environments
Certifications / Training:
OHS short courses relevant to industrial safety
First Aid / Fire Safety / HIRA training (desirable)
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental policies.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site.
Identify hazards and carry out risk assessments (HIRA) to mitigate risks.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and produce detailed reports.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors.
Ensure compliance with national and company OHS legislation and standards.
Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
Advise management on safety improvements and corrective actions.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Ability to lead safety initiatives and enforce compliance
Analytical skills to assess risks and recommend mitigation measures
Proactive approach to workplace safety and hazard prevention
