About the Role
Warrior Edge Projects is looking for a
qualified and dedicated Safety Officer
to join our team within apower station
orheavy industry environment
. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Occupational Health and Safety, excellent knowledge of industry regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance across all operations.Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce compliance with OHS legislation and company safety policies. Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation. Facilitate safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training. Prepare safety reports, incident investigations, and maintain documentation. Collaborate with supervisors and management to promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
National Diploma in Safety Management
- essential*.1 or more valid Safety Officer Certificates
(e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, SHEMTRAC, etc.). AdditionalOHS short courses
(e.g., First Aid, Fire Fighting, Incident Investigation, Legal Liability, HIRA, etc.) - advantageous*.Minimum
3 years' experience
in apower station
orheavy industry environment
preferred. Strong understanding of OHS Act and applicable safety regulations. Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.How to Apply
