To ensure that all staff working at all Power Stations/Mines, comply with EHS standards (internal standards & statutory compliance)
Ensure that all Global EHS initiatives, the Find It Fix It's, EEHSOF's, Job Safety Analysis and the Safety Cross are conducted, recorded, reported daily and were necessary updated as prescribed.
Assist Site management in conducting Risk Assessments by facilitating the Hazard Identification and Risk management process inclusive of safe work procedures.
Inspect / scan the work environment (planned or on request) for unsafe or potentially unsafe / unhealthy conditions xe2x80x93 to the effect that all obvious and major issues were detected pro-actively.

SAMTRAC certificate
Incident and accident investigation course
HIRA course
Basic SHE audit course
ISO 14000 environmental certified
OSAS 18000 certified
Extensive SHE exposure in industrial / manufacturing environment
Must be computer literate.
Must have a valid driverxe2x80x99s licence

SHE audit course (LEAD level)
Higher than NQF6 level
Occupational Hygiene course

Do observations on site EHS staff, report back findings to manager (detect possible shortcomings)
Queries: Attend to EHS queries, escalate and follow up, complete questionnaires. Keep and supply EHS data / statistic to various parties. Accurate, timeously, according to procedure
Requests / complaints / near miss incidents: inspect, write incident investigation reports, come up with solutions, rectify / implement solutions. According to procedure, without undue delay, accurate, practical solutions.
Project management pertaining to the implementation of SHE solutions and instructions. Report back on progress implementation. Things happened as planned due to thorough planning, organising and control measures.
Reports: Collate EHS data and complete / submit various reports (Internal and external). Accurate, on time, in the correct format.
Communicate / inform / sensitise staff: Using various platforms and various media (talks, meetings, posters, notice boards, etc.) xe2x80x93 to the effect that staff are kept well informed of- / sensitised to EHS issues.
Health and safety committee (on client sites): Facilitate from time to time, distribute minutes, action on meeting decisions, and contribute to meeting agenda. To be accurate and on time. Set own EHS objectives for company and drive them through the committee. Objectives to be realistic, practical, high but achievable, the result of thorough analyses
Incident management: inspect, compile employerxe2x80x99s report, DoL reporting. Accurate, correct format, complete, on time. Log and update all incidents on the EHS HUB as per Global procedures
Audit site and subcontractors for risk compliance practices: inspect, present EHS files to clients on sites, issue NCR if not compliant. Subsequently decide to allow contractors and staff on site or not. Thoroughly, professionally, according to procedure.
Research / keep up to date on developments in area of specialisation, new legislation, or regulations, etc.
At all times adhere to procedures, instructions, quality and safety standards

Serving approximately 25 staff on site
Guided by incident investigation procedure manual and permit to work procedures.
