Qualifications & Requirements:
Copy of
National Diploma in Safety Management
orNational Diploma in Environmental Health
Copy ofvalid registration with SACPCMP
as aSafety Officer
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
demonstrating aminimum of 3 years' experience
inwater-related projects
as a Safety OfficerKey Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act
and other relevant legislation Develop, implement, and maintainsite-specific safety plans
and procedures Conductrisk assessments
,incident investigations
, andsafety audits
Delivertoolbox talks
, safety training, and awareness sessions to site personnel Monitor and enforce the correct use ofpersonal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain accuratesafety records, reports, and documentation
Liaise withproject management
, contractors, and regulatory bodies regarding health and safety issues Promote a strongsafety culture
and proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigationSkills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
construction safety standards and environmental regulations
Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement in safety performanceJob Type: Full-time
