Qualifications & Requirements:



Copy of

National Diploma in Safety Management

or

National Diploma in Environmental Health

Copy of

valid registration with SACPCMP

as a

Safety Officer

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

demonstrating a

minimum of 3 years' experience

in

water-related projects

as a Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities:



Ensure compliance with

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act

and other relevant legislation Develop, implement, and maintain

site-specific safety plans

and procedures Conduct

risk assessments

,

incident investigations

, and

safety audits

Deliver

toolbox talks

, safety training, and awareness sessions to site personnel Monitor and enforce the correct use of

personal protective equipment (PPE)

Maintain accurate

safety records, reports, and documentation

Liaise with

project management

, contractors, and regulatory bodies regarding health and safety issues Promote a strong

safety culture

and proactive approach to hazard identification and mitigation

Skills and Competencies:



Strong knowledge of

construction safety standards and environmental regulations

Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement in safety performance
