Job Purpose: To assist the Risk Manager and support national Store Operations in identifying and mitigating end to end risk in the front shop, including minimizing losses through analysis, understanding of the business and the environment it operates in. This further includes implementing and tracking loss prevention strategies nationally and per store whilst measuring performance on an on-going basis and reacting on compliance and risk trends in a timely manner to enable the organisation to achieve its objectives.

Job Objectives:
Supporting the risk manager in delivering a comprehensive pharmacy risk strategy and mitigates risk through the operational teams. Effective tracking of pharmacy risk related issues to ensure holistic risk assessments can be done in a timely manner. Through the use of analytics to perform trending analysis to interpret data that assists management with decision making. Ensure on-going improvement in shrinkage through root cause analysis and implementing agreed processes support by ongoing training and tracking strategies. To manage the effectiveness of stock takes process, controls and investigations to ensure valid, accurate and complete stock takes Ensure on-going improvement in wastage through root cause analysis and implementing agreed processes support by ongoing training and tracking strategies. Ensure that regular monthly reporting including, the risk status of each pharmacy, is relevant, accurate, complete and provides insights into risk management within store operations. Regular tracking and monitoring of all dispensing errors to risk is adequately mitigated. Tracking pharmacy Audit results and key audit findings to ensure risk mitigation and ongoing improvement. Management of pharmacy Control Self-Assessment processes and results to ensure ongoing improvement To manage multiple systems for effective reporting and analyse data to support continuous operational improvement. This includes developing and designing reports and processes with which operations will be able to manage shrinkage and wastage and improve financial performance To support the store operations teams in identifying emerging risk at pharmacy level through regular store visits, investigating potential solutions and ensuring timely and effective implementation thereof. Investigations into instances of theft and fraud in pharmacies to determine the key control breaks and implement improved controls

Skills:GPP ethical/compliance knowledge; Policies and procedures; Systems and processes; IT systems (Unisolv, BI, Excel & SAP) Desirable: Knowledge and understanding of CSA and audit

Minimum requirements




Experience:Essential: Grade 12 Essential: Relevant Degree or Diploma; Qualified Pharmacist Assistant (must be registered with SAPC) 3-5 years relevant data analytics experience with specific exposure to business process / retail reporting 3-5 years exposure to management of risk and compliance. Retail Management experience Any other training or certification within risk management, financial management, loss management (Desirable)
