As our Strategic Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on major incidents and socio-political developments. Your insights will directly support executive decision-making, risk mitigation, and strategic planning. You will also introduce innovative tools and methods to enhance our intelligence capability. We are looking for a skilled and innovative Risk intelligence Specialistto join our team. This role is vital in ensuring we anticipate, monitor, and respond effectively to service delivery issues, protests, and civil unrest incidents that could affect our operations, people, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor news, social media, and official channels for indicators of unrest or service delivery breakdowns.
Build networks with community leaders, local government, and law enforcement for real-time updates.
Deliver daily and weekly intelligence reports with clear risk assessments and recommendations.
Develop dashboards and visual reports for executive use.
Conduct trend analysis and scenario planning to forecast potential risks.
Innovate new monitoring and reporting tools (e.g., automated alerts, AI sentiment analysis).
Liaise with internal teams to ensure coordinated response to emerging issues.
Provide ad-hoc alerts to executives for urgent incidents.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Security/Risk Management, or Data Analytics (or equivalent experience).
3+ years' experience in intelligence analysis, socio-political monitoring, risk management, or related fields.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
Familiarity with social media monitoring and open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm, objective, and analytical under pressure.
Advantageous: experience working with government, NGOs, or law enforcement networks.
Other Considerations
Availability outside of normal working hours when urgent incidents occur.
Driver's license and willingness to travel locally if ground validation is required.
