Job Description

Risk Analyst with relevant Degree and minimum 3 years' securities, investment, IT systems and risk experience in the Financial Services Industry, required to oversee all risk management activities, perform accurate and independent analysis re risk items, operational incidents and to evaluate and enhance/automate analysis and reporting, and improve risk management systems for a Wealth and Investment Company based in Bellville.
Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Degree essential - CA(SA), Actuary, Data/Maths/Stats, Engineering Degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years' Financial Services Industry experience, specific to Securities, Investments, IT Systems and Risk required
• Programming abilities highly beneficial
• Specialist knowledge on regulatory matters - FAIS Act, etc, highly advantageous
• Risk Management / CFP / CFA designation highly beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute and manage risk analysis and assessment, both financial and operational again set parameters
• Collate and draft risk reports
• Ensure operational incidents are documented and managed
• Assist in maintaining/improving risk dashboards
• Establish internal protocols and risk management communication
• Monitor risk tolerance levels and provide solutions/improvements
• Collate and interpret risk assessment results
• Escalate risk weaknesses or risks
• Supervising/managing direct reports
