Job Title: Rigger Supervisor

Reporting to:

Site Manager / Project Manager

Qualification Required:

Trade Test Certificate as a Rigger (Red Seal or equivalent)

Experience:

Minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified Rigger Supervisor (within the past 10 years)

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily rigging operations on-site Ensure rigging activities comply with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards Lead and manage a team of riggers and general workers Interpret lifting plans, drawings, and load charts Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks before tasks Ensure rigging equipment is inspected, tested, and certified Report on progress, incidents, and delays to site management Liaise with crane operators, engineers, and safety officers Mentor and coach junior riggers

Strong leadership and communication skills In-depth knowledge of rigging standards and practices Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Attention to detail and problem-solving

Perform rigging duties including lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy equipment Use slings, shackles, hooks, and other lifting equipment safely Assist with setting up cranes and lifting gear Comply with site-specific and general SHE regulations Inspect and maintain rigging equipment Work closely with team members to complete lifting tasks safely and efficiently Report hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately
