Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented RF Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of radio frequency systems and equipment. This includes working with antennas, transmitters, receivers, spectrum analyzers, and related tools. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of RF theory, signal propagation, and electronic troubleshooting.
- Install, configure, test, and maintain RF systems and components including antennas, cabling, and transmitters.
- Perform RF testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
- Conduct field surveys and signal strength testing to ensure optimal performance of RF systems.
- Diagnose and repair RF equipment and components, identifying root causes of signal interference and degradation.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Assist engineering teams with prototyping, development, and validation of RF systems.
- Maintain documentation of testing procedures, maintenance activities, and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and industry standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during installation and service tasks.
Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
2+ years of experience in RF testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
Strong knowledge of RF theory and components (filters, amplifiers, mixers, etc.).
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, VSWR meters, and TDRs.
Ability to work from heights or in remote locations as needed.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel occasionally for on-site support or installations.
FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) or similar certification.
Experience with cellular networks (LTE, 5G), Wi-Fi, or satellite communication systems.
Familiarity with RF modeling and simulation tools.
