Requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric with Mathematics and accounting as subjects.
  • BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (Compulsory)
  • 3-5 Years experience in a similar role with a proven track record of supervising/overseeing team members
  • Experience in the Logistics industry will be advantage.
  • Proficient Computer Literacy, especially G-Suite and MS Office (Word & advanced Excel skills).
  • Shipshape and Sage Intacct experience will be an advantage.
  • Bilingual able to understand, write and speak Afrikaans and English fluently.
  • Own reliable transport
Responsibilities
  • Oversee monthly invoicing process, including providing quality assurance, quality control, and customer service.
  • Liasson with the team leaders to ensure that deadlines are met, and invoicing clerks tasks are completed.
  • Review, analyse, and resolve errors in invoices to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to proper invoicing procedures across the entire group.
  • Review, update and communicate invoicing policies.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients billing issues.
  • Ensure client and internal invoicing deadlines are met daily/weekly/monthly.
  • Maintaining high client satisfaction ratings that are up to the businesss standards Attend client visits where necessary.
  • Assist with development of new processes.
  • Assist with seasonality changes, e.g., Client info updates.
  • Ensure all relevant information is complete to ensure tasks at hand are done accurately.
  • Prepare and assist with audits.
  • Reconcile vessel recoveries on a regularly basis.
  • Assist with shipment reconciliations.
  • Assist with month end preparations.
  • Contribute to annual audit process supporting the Financial Manager/s where needed.
  • Expert on all client invoicing to assist in overflow volume as needed.
  • Maintain SOP of all client invoicing measures.
  • Ensure effective resource planning ahead of each season in conjunction with Operations Team Leaders.
  • Developing and growing people, focusing on the teams core strengths and skills. Building and maintain a healthy talent pool for this business unit.
  • Ensuring participative leadership and strong communication within the team.
  • Collaboration with all business areas.
  • Coaching and peer to peer learning.
  • Identifying opportunities by evaluating current business trends, conducting best practise research.
  • Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement to support a paperless environment.
