Main purpose of the job



The Retail Stores Supervisor is responsible for the Warehouse function, which includes stock control, dispatching, receiving and the condition of stock and other items belonging to the Company.

Reporting to the National Materials & Distribution Manager, you will be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities.

Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy.

To ensure the efficient picking, packing and tracking of all stock items moving in and out of warehouse / stock management system.

Key responsibilities



Develop the company's inventory management with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits (Project Budget) Exception reporting on procurement outside Project Budget. Manage and control inventory accuracy checks. Ensure materials are ready and available for production according to workflow. Perform cyclic stock checks and Bi-weekly full Stock Takes. Ensure works orders / Stock Request forms are correct and fully completed and that all requested stock has been allocated to the correct project via Stock Movement journal. Place reserve stock in designated areas for (on-going) projects. Ensure works orders / Stock Return form are correct and fully completed and that all returned stock has been allocated to the correct project via Stock Return/Movement journal. Reconcile Stock Request and Stock Return on Project regularly with Product/OPS Manager to counter stock losses. Ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Examine and inspect stock/equipment items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Receiving Stock against Purchase orders reference Ensuring that stock is received as per PO Ensuring that all stock received is received in good condition. Ensure that no stock is received without PO or Internal order. Taking full responsibility for ALL stock in the stores, whether Company or customer owned Adhere and comply with Forecasting process and procedures. Ensuring that collections requested from time to time is done promptly. Ensuring that deliveries and collections are done at a minimum cost. Fleet Management. Ensuring that all vehicles are inspected daily Ensuring that all vehicles are maintained and serviced as and when required Performing tasks given, from time to time, such tasks may not necessarily be tasks forming part of the individual's , but are tasks the individual should be able to do.

Knowledge



Experience & Qualifications



Ideally possessing a relevant professional qualification and/or suitable background experience in inventory management and 5yrs + experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment. Possess excellent personal organisation and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods. Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality. Possess the willingness to learn, improve and adapt. Possess relevant IT skills in basic MS Office applications - outlook, excel & word in particular and a working knowledge or business ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R13000,00 - R18000,00 per month
