Retail Shop Assistant

As a Customer Care Assistant, you will help ensure every customer receives top-notch service in a clean, well-organized, and welcoming store environment. You'll play a key role in both customer interaction and the day-to-day running of the store.

Customer Care

Welcome every customer warmly with a smile and helpful attitude. Create a positive and friendly shopping environment. Handle customer questions and complaints professionally. Carry out markdowns, promotions, and merchandising based on Head Office instructions.

Merchandising

Unpack and display new stock neatly and on time. Ensure all items on the shop floor are correctly priced. Dress mannequins and maintain attractive displays on tables and shelves. Keep all garments -- folded or hanging -- neat, clean, and properly labelled. Accurately merchandise promotional and markdown items with the right signage.

Store Administration & Maintenance

Assist with basic store admin and daily operations alongside management. Stay alert to help prevent stock losses. Attend morning briefings and complete assigned daily tasks. Maintain cleanliness throughout the store -- floors, mirrors, changerooms, display units, and counters.

Requirements & Competencies

Grade 12 certificate Friendly, customer-first mindset Good interpersonal and listening skills Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team Calm, polite, and professional even under pressure Retail experience in clothing is a bonus Strong attention to detail Basic arithmetic skills and good English communication

Pay: R28,79 - R28,80 per hour
