Job Description
My client is looking for a sharp, commercially minded Fashion Retail Planner to join their dynamic Buying & Planning team at their Cape Town Head Office. This role is ideal for someone who loves numbers as much as fashion, thrives on problem-solving and enjoys turning data into smart, profitable decisions. You'll work with best-in-class merchandise systems to forecast sales, manage stock and drive product performance from concept to customer. SA CITIZENS ONLY.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage end-to-end merchandise planning to maximise profitability and stock efficiency.
- Partner closely with Buyers and suppliers to build balanced, commercial ranges.
- Forecast sales, plan stock and trade product in line with business and financial targets.
- Ensure the right product lands in the right store, at the right time, at the right price.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with distribution, store design and other key teams.
- Use global and in-house systems to inform smart, data-led decisions.
Qualifications: A relevant numerical or business-related tertiary qualification.
Experience: 3+ years' planning experience, ideally within a fashion retail environment.
Additional: o Strong systems capability (Oracle, ProClarity, PLM an advantage). o Excellent analytical and organisational skills. o A strong trader mindset with commercial instinct. o The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. o Agility, adaptability and a collaborative attitude.
