On Tap is a leading supplier of building and plumbing supplies, dedicated to providing exceptional products and services to our customers. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Manager to join our team. Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience.
• Previous experience in plumbing and building supplies is highly advantageous.
• Bachelor of Commerce (B. Comm) tertiary education is preferred but not essential with significant management experience.
• Valid Code B driver's license and own transport are mandatory.
• Must reside within a 20km radius of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Stock Control & Stocktakes: Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and implement effective stock control measures.
• Training (Self & Personnel): Develop and implement training programs for both yourself and the store personnel to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Sales & Marketing: Actively participate in sales activities, develop marketing strategies, and contribute to the achievement of sales targets.
• Limited Human Resources: Oversee limited human resources functions, ensuring proper staffing levels and assisting in recruitment processes.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports, providing insights into sales performance, stock levels, and other key metrics.
• Opening & Closing: Ensure the smooth opening and closing of the store, including managing security protocols.
• Projects & Quoting: Collaborate on projects, provide quotes to customers, and ensure accurate project management.

Requirements

• Energetic and enthusiastic with excellent communication and selling skills.

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the building and plumbing supplies industry.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a good understanding of sales figures and reporting.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to lead and manage a diverse team effectively.
