We are looking for an experienced Key Accounts Manager in the FMCG Retail Industry (Massmart, Checkers & Pick & Pay & New Business protentional specifically), to oversee our business operations in an assigned accounts.

As Key Accounts Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability.

Your duties will also include guiding the sales team in your account, setting performance objectives, evaluating and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld and account growth is achieved.

MUST HAVE current relationships in place with Buyers in Electrical / Homeware / Beauty (in terms of Beauty appliances) departments ETC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the learning and development of the sales team
  • Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis
  • Collaborating with senior executives / brand managers to establish and execute sales goal for the accounts
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets for your area of responsibility as communicated to you by CEO.
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
  • Serves customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and merchandising techniques.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Educating sales team with presentations of strategies, seminars and regular meetings
  • Reviewing regional expenses and recommending improvements
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Acts as a trouble shooter for underperforming stores and work with the store team to turn this around.
  • Responsible for ensuring all stores within the region achieve their sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

2+ years current experience as a Key Accounts Manager in the FMCG Retail Industry (Massmart, Checkers & Pick & Pay & New Business protentional specifically).

Industry pertaining to Electrical / Homeware / Beauty (in terms of Beauty appliances)

2+ years Current experience in generating and maintaining relationships with sales leads in (Massmart, Checkers & Pick & Pay & New Business protentional specifically).

(THUS the candidate MUST have the relationships in place and MUST be ready to hit the ground running with our brands and be able to confirm commitments within the 1st month with said accounts)

Bachelors degree in business administration, management, or a similar field preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

MUST HAVE: Own Reliable Vehicle (not older than 3 years) / Valid Driver's License / Laptop & Smart Phone
