Job Description
Our client, a joinery company that services the retail, commercial, and hospitality sectors is currently looking for an experienced and creative Retail Interior Designer-Shopfitter to be based in Ottery, Western Cape.
Position: Retail Interior Designer-Shopfitter
Location: Ottery, Western Cape
Reports To: Factory Manager
Job Summary:
The Retail Interior Designer-Shopfitter will work closely with design and technical teams to produce detailed drawings and integrate them into factory production.
Minimum Qualifying Criteria:
- Diploma in Retail Interior Design would be advantageous
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating technical drawings.
- 2-3 years experience with CNC programming (G-code) and a solid understanding of CNC machines (routers and beam saws).
- Experience in retail design and shopfitting projects.
- Produce accurate technical drawings for retail shopfitting projects.
- Carry out precise site surveys.
- Collaborate with external design teams to ensure designs are production-ready.
- Ensure drawing formats are complimentary to the CNC and beam saw operation.
- Maintain and update drawing library.
- Conduct ongoing quality checks to ensure time management targets are achieved.
