Job Description

Main job function

  • Overseeing daily operations of the grocery store.
  • Monitoring fuel levels, arranging timely deliveries, and ensuring accurate meter readings.
  • Ensuring proper stock levels in the grocery store (ordering, receiving, and managing inventory).
  • Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization across the station and store.
  • Implementing and monitoring company policies and procedures.
  • Managing cash flow, banking, and reconciliation of daily sales.
  • Monitoring fuel and grocery sales performance and reporting to head office/owner.
  • Controlling expenses, reducing shrinkage, and preventing theft or loss.
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
  • Ensuring staff provide good customer service and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Motivating and maintaining a productive workforce.
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service at pumps and in the store.
  • Handling customer complaints or escalations professionally.
  • Running promotions and loyalty programs where applicable
Qualifications
  • Grade 12
Criteria
  • At least 5 years of experience in a management role within the retail sector
  • Retail grocery experience essential
Salary
R35'000 - R37'000
