Job Overview:
The Retail Assistant plays a key role in delivering an outstanding guest experience within the Doppio Zero retail section. This includes managing efficient and friendly cashier transactions, taking and packaging takeaway orders, and ensuring product displays meet the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service Excellence
Guest Engagement: Welcome and assist guests with professionalism and friendliness, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.
Order Accuracy: Accurately process takeaway orders, confirm guest preferences, and package items neatly and securely.
Cashier Transactions: Handle payments efficiently, ensuring accurate processing and balancing of the till.
Product Knowledge and Sales
Product Expertise: Be knowledgeable about all retail items, including ingredients, packaging, and usage recommendations, to confidently assist guests.
Campaign Execution: Support promotions by effectively communicating campaign details and encouraging guest participation.
Upselling: Actively recommend and upsell retail products to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
Merchandising and Displays
Visual Standards: Ensure retail displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and aligned with the Doppio Zero brand image.
Replenishment: Regularly replenish displays, paying attention to stock levels and product placement.
Cleanliness: Maintain clean and hygienic display areas, removing any expired or damaged products.
Stock and Expiry Management
Stock Rotation: Follow the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to manage stock and minimise waste.
Expiry Checks: Regularly check product expiry dates and ensure timely removal or action on nearing expiry stock.
Labelling: Adhere to strict labelling standards for accuracy and consistency.
Operational Efficiency
Packaging Standards: Ensure takeaway orders are packaged neatly, securely, and according to brand standards.
Reporting: Notify the Retail Manager of low stock levels, damaged goods, or any operational challenges.
Compliance: Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in the retail area.
Team Collaboration
Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth operation and excellent guest experience.
Shift Coordination: Contribute to seamless shift handovers by communicating any important updates or challenges.
Meetings and Feedback: Participate in team meetings, sharing feedback and contributing to continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, cashiering, or guest service roles is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
