Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant / Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment in Calitzdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent guest experiences, smooth front-of-house operations, managing staff, controlling stock, and maintaining high service and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day restaurant and bar operations.
• Manage and train staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor regulations.
• Handle reservations, guest relations, and resolve complaints effectively.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
• Implement cost control measures and monitor budgets.
• Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and ambiance standards are met.
• Develop promotions, events, and service offerings to increase sales.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and financial reports.

• Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager, or similar role in hospitality.
• Strong leadership and staff management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of stock control, ordering systems, and budgeting.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Relevant hospitality qualification (advantageous but not essential).
