Job Summary Duties:
Handles incoming phone calls and online requests to book, modify, or cancel guest reservations.
Keeps the reservation system organized, accurate, and up-to-date, identifying and correcting errors.
Answers guest inquiries regarding availability, menu options, and other general information about the restaurant.
Liaises with the host team and other departments to ensure seamless service and accommodate guest needs.
Addresses specific customer requests for table types, dietary accommodations, or other needs.
Addresses customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner, aiming to resolve them satisfactorily.
Requirements:
Grade 12
A formal qualification will be an advantage
At least 2+ years' experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting
Communication Skills: Essential for interacting with guests and coordinating with the team.
Customer Service Experience
Organizational Skills: Necessary for maintaining a precise seating schedule and managing reservation records.
Ability to use reservation software and other relevant technology.
