Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and service-driven Restaurant Manager for a prestigious luxury wine estate in the heart of Stellenbosch. ? Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure seamless and high-quality service
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team to maintain exceptional service standards
Ensure profitability while upholding premium standards of food, service, and hygiene
Manage recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance of team members
Work closely with the Head Chef to align the dining experience with the estate's vision
Handle guest interactions, complaints, and feedback professionally
Manage stock control and supplier orders
Supervise opening/closing procedures, daily cash-ups, and financial reporting
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
? Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in a high-end restaurant or hospitality management role
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Ability to perform under pressure in a busy fine dining setting
Deep understanding of food, wine, and service etiquette
Financial management skills including budgeting and reporting
Experience with POS systems and reservation platforms
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
