A very busy, upmarket restaurant in Sandton / Melrose area is looking for a skilled, energetic and passionate General Manager to join their team as soon as possible. Applicants must have advanced operational and administrative restaurant knowledge with the ability to easily implement and maintain operational procedures. Strong customer relations, staff management and training skills are crucial. Candidates must be trustworthy and have a long working history at previous employers. All references need to be provided and will be checked. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall daily running of restaurant
Implement and maintain BOH & FOH procedures
Implement and maintain administrative procedures
Control operational costs
Identify measures to cut waste
Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
Ensure the highest sanitation and hygiene standards
Enforce compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
No less than 5 years experience as a General Manager at a restaurant
Excellent knowledge and understanding of restaurant software systems
Extensive experience in managing FOH & BOH staff
