Job Description


Role: Restaurant supervisor
Salary: TBC
Location: Hermanus, Western Cape

As the supervisor, it will be your responsibility to continue to build on the foundation that the owners have set.

Requirements:

  • Manage daily activities of employees.
  • Supervise employees in various duties such as cooking, serving, and plating.
  • Manage product storage, maintenance, and rotation activities to avoid any damages or spoilages.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory.
  • Analyse profit and loss statements and recommend improvements to meet department goals.
  • Schedule and assign work for associates on a daily basis.
  • Provide training to staff on company policies.
  • Respond to queries and complaints from both customers and employees.
  • Ensure employees follow company policies and store rules.
  • Monitor and maintain stock inventory levels to avoid over and under-stock problems.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained neat, clean, and safe.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proven experience managing a restaurant, kitchen or similar.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
