Good physical stamina for standing and walking for long periods.

Familiarity with reservation software and point-of-sale systems.

Previous experience as a Restaurant Waiter (Advantageous).

Grade 12 and must be computer literate.

Must have strong administration skills and be well organized.

Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide a friendly first impression, and direct them to the host stand or waiting area.

Manage the reservation system, accurately record walk-ins, and assign guests to tables to ensure efficient turnover and balance the workload for servers.
/p

Provide accurate wait time estimates for guests and manage the waiting area, ensuring a comfortable experience.
/p
p
Answer phone calls, provide information about the restaurant, menu items, and hours, and address general guest inquiries.
/p
p
Have a thorough understanding of the menu, ingredients, and prices to answer guest questions and make recommendations when asked.
/p
p
Maintain a clean and organized host stand and front-of-house area, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
/p
p
Support the waiting staff by assisting with tasks such as refilling waters, running food, or even bussing tables during busy shifts.
/p
p
Handle guest feedback and resolve any immediate issues or concerns with professionalism and poise.
