Responsible Pharmacist

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement, storage, and dispensing of medications in line with SAPC and legal standards. Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to optimize patient medication therapy. Monitor prescriptions, identify interactions, and ensure accuracy in dispensing. Provide clinical advice and training to healthcare staff on medication safety. Maintain up-to-date pharmacy records and ensure adherence to hospital policies. Contribute to quality assurance and cost-effective medication management.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent qualification. Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC). Minimum 5 years' experience in a hospital or clinical pharmacy setting (rehabilitation experience advantageous). Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and relevant legislation. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
