Resilience Analyst

This role will be responsible for providing technical and operational resilience advice and guidance with a focus on the Group wide organisation. This candidate will be involved in multiple change projects and be responsible for producing and publishing tailored resilience plans and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing resilience advice, requirements and guidance to the business when delivering new systems or updates to existing.
  • Performing resilience focused risk assessment on new systems/services and changes to existing to ensure they are within risk tolerance.
  • Working with the business to review existing BIA/ BCPs designs and ensure that they are in line with existing resilience principles and the operational needs of the business
  • Support/ input to the Group Incident Management Process.
  • Manage the schedule of testing for all in scope BC and DR plans
  • Ensure testing reports produced for the testing schedule in point 5 above.
  • Liaise with the Risk Management function to ensure all risk drivers are updated and incorporated into the Resilience Risk Appetite
  • Undertake ad hoc projects/ support the production of relevant reports and Mi.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Risk, computer science, IT engineering, or related field
  • An MSc Information Security or equivalent would be an advantage.
  • Information Security and/or Information Technology certifications such as CISSP etc. are preferred.
  • Experience of common frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO27k and MITRE
  • Be able to pragmatically review and understand where the resilience risk could outweigh the business benefits.
  • Help make the business understand the importance of considering reliance in new products/ operations
  • Ability to support the business in the delivery of resilience requirements.
  • Ability to deconstruct complex environments and navigate conflicting project requirements.
  • Work with the wider security team to mature security risk and resilience processes
  • Ability to work independently, under general guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to exercise mature judgement.
  • Organised with a proven ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and utilise time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Prior experience working in a resilience function is essential.
  • Prior experience of working as a resilience analyst is essential.
