About the Role

We are looking for an experienced

Commercial Construction Estimator

to support our U.S.-based operations. This is a

remote position

, but candidates

must be located in Cape Town, South Africa

.


You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, supporting bids, and helping secure projects ranging from <$150K to $50MM. The role requires strong attention to detail, construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple estimates at once.

Responsibilities

Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for various project types. Review construction drawings, specifications, and site information. Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Compare bids, verify costs, and identify value engineering opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams and attend virtual pre-bid meetings.

Requirements:

6-8 years of experience estimating for a general contractor or subcontractor. Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam (or similar software). Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team. Degree or coursework in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred.
