RPO Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our client's team. As a Resident Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery and implementation of projects for our clients. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, troubleshooting and problem-solving solutions, and overseeing the overall project management and coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Administration functions in assistance to the Engineer or Principal Agent ensuring site correspondence and site instructions are recorded, followed through, implemented and closed out
• Evaluation and monitoring of the project programme and reporting on progress
• Weekly technical meetings with the Contractor and feedback to the Engineer or Principal Agent on issues to be actioned
• Management of site records (instructions, correspondence, drawing register, concrete pour certificates, daily diaries, etc.) as part of a Site Quality Management System.
• Attend monthly progress meetings and action site deliverables as required per the meeting in assistance to the Engineer or Principal Agent
• Monthly payment measurement and certification (BRYCE prepare certificate for sign-off by the Engineer or Principal Agent
• Overall construction monitoring, Quality Assurance and Management ensuring delivery on specifications and provision of quality records as part of the final quality pack:
• Assistance in investigating claims by contractor and provision of records to the Engineer or Principal Agent
• Ensuring As-Built drawing requirements are met
• Agreement of final quantities for the Completion Statement Payment Certificate
• Practical Completion, Completion, and Final Approval

Requirements:

• PR Eng or PR Tech Eng in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of at least 10 -15 years experience in civil engineering resident engineer work roads and concrete work.
• On-site
• Sound knowledge of construction engineering principles and practices
• Experience in monitoring and inspecting construction projects
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience in using computer software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or other design software
• Experience in the consulting engineering industry is a plus
