Job Description


: We are seeking a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as a Reservations Supervisor. As the Reservations Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the reservations team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient processes. This position involves managing reservations, developing relationships with the travel trade, updating databases, and providing support to the Sales and Marketing manager. If you have a passion for the travel industry, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to work in a team, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities: 1. Team Management:

  • Oversee and lead the reservations team, currently consisting of two members.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
2. Reservation Handling:
  • Respond to all reservation requests received via the travel trade and manage direct enquiries efficiently.
  • Follow the reservation process from initial quote to invoicing.
3. Relationship Development:
  • Develop and nurture relationships with the travel trade to enhance collaboration and maximise opportunities.
4. Database Management:
  • Regularly update agent and guest databases to ensure accurate and current information.
5. Guest Management:
  • Manage guests traveling to the camp, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
6. Cross-Selling:
  • Promote and cross-sell accommodations within the portfolio to maximize revenue.
7. Market Understanding:
  • Stay informed about the competitor landscape to make informed decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
8. Rate Negotiation and Relationship Management:
  • Negotiate rates and manage relationships with service providers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.
9. Problem Resolution:
  • Assist the reservations team in resolving issues and challenges promptly and effectively.
10. Logistics Coordination:
  • Assist in arranging and booking additional logistics as required for guests.
11. Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative services to maintain smooth operations.
12. Sales and Marketing Support:
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing manager to support promotional activities and contribute to the overall success of the team.
13. Managing remote teams:
  • Manage remote teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
14. Support the Finance department
  • Collaborate with the Bookkeeper to ensure that invoicing, debtor and creditor queries are resolved timeously.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in reservations management within the travel industry.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of reservation systems and database management.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
