Africa's Greenest Hotel requires a Reservations Agent with exceptional communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to excellent guest service.

Requirements & Details:*

Grade 12 & a tertiary diploma in Hospitality Management or proven track record of having received on-job training within this hospitality.

Reservations is the Guests most important "first contact" with the hotel and hence the importance of the position. Reservations is responsible for the hotel reservation system and deals with all incoming enquiries regarding accommodation, availability, room types, rates, etc. as well as processing and confirming reservations for accommodation and restaurant. Ensures all correspondence maintained with regards to reservations.

Have to adhere to the strict laid down policies, procedures and standards, in order to achieve the highest possible occupancies and average room rates. Responsible to effectively up sell all facilities at the hotel and clinch the "sale". Produce daily and monthly relevant reports pertaining to reservations made, availability forecasts, updated rates submitted and all other information. Exercise strict control of availability and rates of all distribution channels like GDS and Web booking sites.

May be required to assist with posting of deposit payments and/or other administration and able to assist on the reception front desk with arrivals and departures. Relieves the Banqueting Co-ordinator when necessary.
