Our client, a luxury 5-star safari lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Reservations Administrator & Front of House professional to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in an exclusive and tranquil bush environment, ensuring seamless guest experiences and efficient administrative support. Candidates who demonstrate strong leadership potential may also be considered for an Assistant Lodge Manager position.
Description
The successful candidate will handle guest reservations, front office duties, and lodge administration. The role involves coordinating guest check-ins, managing curio shop sales, and maintaining high standards of service throughout the guest experience. This position suits a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote safari lodge setting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and payments.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Host guests and handle inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
  • Conduct room checks and oversee the housekeeping department.
  • Assist in curio shop operations, including monthly stock takes.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth lodge operations.
  • Support senior management with reporting and operational tasks.
Package Includes:
  • Salary: R11 000 - R14 000 (depending on experience).
  • Live-in accommodation (one-bedroom house, no dependents or pets).
  • Meals and uniform provided.
  • Work cycle: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off.
  • Medical aid and provident fund after 3 months.
  • UIF contribution.
Optional Progression:
If the selected candidate demonstrates strong leadership, administrative, and guest service skills, the position may evolve into an Assistant Lodge Manager role, with a salary band of R17 500 - R20 000.
Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality as FOH/Reservations.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Experience with PANHospitality or similar reservations/accounting systems advantageous.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work under pressure.
  • Own reliable transport essential.
  • Ability to live and work in a remote lodge environment.
