An exciting opportunity is available for a Researcher to join our Study Operations team at Clinvet SA (Bloemfontein).This position are well suited for enthusiastic individuals who are looking for advancement in their research careers and who wants to gain hands-on experience in the thriving and supportive department.Primary Job PurposeTo assist in the delivery of efficient and high-quality research in line with compliance and timelines requirementsJob Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform specific study related administrative and/or study execution tasks by following set instructions and procedures to ensure successful delivery
• Record and handle raw data ensuring accurate and consistent information for departmental and study use
• Conduct relevant observations and analysis regarding animal health and well-being
• Perform parasite/pest specific tasks
• Use and verification of relevant equipment for tasks allocated
• Prevent contamination and maintain a clean, orderly and audit ready facility
• Interact, socialize, and handle animals to ensure content, well-adjusted and cared for animals

Minimum education and experience requirements

• Degree in Natural or Biological Science
• Major subjects in Entomology, Zoology or Parasitologywill be beneficial
• 0-3 years relevant experience

Work Environment

• Work in a laboratory/research type environment with strict access and biosafety controls
• Interact with and handle animals
• Be available for work during normal work hours as well as after-hours according to pre-arranged departmental schedules that my require evening, weekend, and public holiday work

Specific Skills and Abilities Required

• Attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Outlook, MS Teams, and Office 365
• Ability to learn new software and systems
• Ability to work independently and support team members during activities
• Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license
