Job Description

This position suits a technically strong chemist who enjoys practical laboratory work, structured experimentation, and translating formulations from concept through to commercial production.
You will hold a BSc in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline and bring 25 years of formulation experience within consumer products. Strong capability in troubleshooting, optimisation, and scale-up of complex formulation systems is essential, together with disciplined project management and clear technical reporting.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a focused R&D environment where practical expertise and scientific rigour directly influence product performance and commercial success.
Key responsibilities include:

Designing and refining innovative consumer formulations from lab concept to production scale
Evaluating new raw materials and technologies for performance, safety, sustainability, and compliance
Conducting batch trials, stability testing, and packaging compatibility assessments
Ensuring formulations meet quality and regulatory standards
Maintaining precise formulation records and technical documentation
Collaborating with Regulatory, QA, QC, and Manufacturing teams to support product launch
Preparing technical reports and product performance summaries
