Urban-Econ NIKELA (Pty) Ltd requires the services of a Research Consultant with research and consultancy experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend briefing meetings with seniors/managers;
Liaise with clients and stakeholders (both verbal and written)
Compile clear and practical work plans for the deliverables with appropriate timeframes and report progress
Conduct relevant primary and secondary research, which includes but is not limited to:
Identifying relevant stakeholders and role-players;
Designing data collection tools such as questionnaires and other survey methodologies;
Setting up and conducting interviews;
Facilitating focus group sessions and workshops;
Conducting surveys;
Training/supervising fieldworkers or junior staff to undertake fieldwork;
Sourcing secondary information and data.
Construct and maintain clear and neat databases of primary and secondary research
Analyse and interpret primary and secondary research data
Draw conclusions based on the research and compile constructive recommendations
Compile comprehensive research, evaluation and impact reports
Prepare and deliver presentations to large audiences
Submit work timeously to be reviewed by Seniors/ Managers
Undertake additional tasks as requested by seniors/ management.

Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Proficiency with MS Office suite of programmes.

Excellent Excel data analysis skills
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
Commitment to meeting deadlines
Experience:
At least 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in research and consultancy work
Experience in undertaking large scale research studies in the fields of emerging technologies, energy, waste, environmental economics and climate change.
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
Minimum of Honoursxe2x80x99 degree in Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Management, Technology Management, Social Sciences or related field
Driverxe2x80x99s licence (Code B)
