BACKGROUND
The Aurum Institute is a proudly African, health impact organization dedicated to researching, supporting, and implementing innovative, integrated approaches to global health. As part of efforts to tackle high rates of tuberculosis (TB) in South Africa, we are conducting a study to evaluate the effectiveness of a sputum collection tool in community settings. The study will be implemented in two metros: Sarah Baartman and Nelson Mandela Bay. We are seeking two Research Assistants in each location. Each site-based team will work closely with the project manager and digital chest X-ray (dCXR) screening teams to identify eligible participants, collect data, and conduct study procedures. Activities will involve travel across the metro areas to TB screening sites.
