***NOTE: This is a hybrid position with 1 day in the office every week

A top pharmaceutical product procurement systems company based in Sandton is a urgently looking for a highly intelligent Reports Developer specializing in Power BI and Power Pages / Apps to join their team to work on new and existing projects.

They are looking for an individual who is pro-active and able to follow instructions clearly to complete projects with minimal supervision, have good communication skills, inquisitive by nature investigating and understanding their project fully and willing to take on responsibility for code and reports developed and also enjoy working with and presenting data.

In order to be considered the following is required:

• Matric Certificate
• Minimum experience of 5 years reporting development
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or similar field
• Data warehousing, Data analysis
• SQL Server table design and SQL queries
• Creating charts, graphs and present data with algorithms, parameters, models and relations explanations in PowerBI
• DAX queries and functions
• Power BI Complex reporting, large dataset handling, optimising and automation
• Power Bi Model security via Azure AD
• Power BI embedding within PowerPages
• Azure on premise data gateway
• Working with source control (SVN preferred)
• Experience working in an Agile Team will be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Closely follow project plan to develop software.
• Multitask on a range of projects and tasks simultaneously, defining priorities and ensuring efficiency
• Meet deadlines and timelines as determined in the planning phase
• Adhere to agree upon standards for code, as set and determined by the relevant development project manager
• Generate and maintain effective and efficient high-quality code
• Use effective and efficient components and techniques to implement solutions
• Ensure all work is versioned and backed up according to company standards
• Provide timeous, efficient, and effective feedback on project status to development project managers and other stakeholders
• Collaborate with other developers and testing department to ensure that all work is tested, benchmarked and fulfils functional requirements before submission
