-We are offering a compelling opportunity for a Repairs Officer role within our Supply Chain team. In this role you will be responsible for the execution of purchasing transactions for the offsite repair of equipment, allowing repairs to be completed in a timely manner and cost-effective way, meeting agreed technical requirements and services levels.


Your day-to-day duties will include:



Issue requests for collection, strip and quotation instructions to approved repair suppliers Initiate necessary documentation to remove items to be repaired from site Evaluate repair estimate and consult with maintenance teams to agree if items should be repaired Convert approved repair estimate to Repair orders in the transactional purchasing system Execute warranty claims with suppliers Responsible for expediting and follow-up of repair RFQ's with repair suppliers Drive for accuracy in the repair process to limit rework and invoice mismatches impacting other functions (e.g. Accounts Payable) Develop and maintain effective working relationships with repair suppliers Evaluate supplier performance, handle queries and escalate critical issues Manage return of items that are beyond economical repair for scrapping Support the sustainable value creation strategies, initiatives and associated business cases, that advance technical, community, sustainability, and financial ambitions Support the team to identify supplier development needs and opportunities, and provide input into the development of solutions
This role is in Supply Chain department at a Band 7 level reporting to the Section Manager Repairs.



Qualifications

-Grade 12 Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field will be advantageous. Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS will be advantageous Valid driver's license code B or C1

Experience required:



At least 3+ years' experience within a procurement or inventory management environment in a large operation, utilizing SAP Materials Management or similar system.
Technical knowledge (experience) required for role:


Computer literacy Transactional Procurement SAP Purchasing knowledge Data analysis and reporting Process compliance monitoring Supply Chain systems

You will also need to have:



No criminal record Good command of English language both written and speaking If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Certification.
