Introduction
Future Careers is recruiting on behalf of a leading national retail group for an experienced Remuneration & Benefits Manager. This role oversees the full remuneration, benefits, payroll, and HR analytics portfolio across multiple African regions.
Description
Key Responsibilities:

  • Team & Payroll Management: Lead an 8-member payroll, benefits, and HR data team, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, and eSwatini.
  • Remuneration Strategy: Own remuneration and benefits policies, develop incentive schemes, and conduct market benchmarking.
  • Benefits Administration: Design and implement a two-year benefits roadmap, manage medical and retirement fund offerings, and maintain strong relationships with service providers.
  • Systems & Compliance: Oversee HRIS and payroll integrations, enhance approval frameworks, and ensure compliance with all tax and employment legislation.
  • Data Analytics: Deliver insightful HR dashboards and monthly analytics to guide strategic decisions
Education Profile
Qualifications & Experience:
  • B.Com or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years' management experience in remuneration, benefits, or payroll.
  • Minimum 3 years in payroll administration (multi-country experience advantageous).
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and BI dashboard skills.
  • Strong understanding of taxation, fringe benefits, and remuneration legislation.
