Remote Sensing Scientist
Job Description
The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and experience:
xc3xa2xc2x96xc2xaa MSc in Remote Sensing/GIS/Environmental Science/Geoinformatics or Natural Sciences with a strong mathematical, GIS, remote sensing, and programming background is required.
xc3xa2xc2x96xc2xaa A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience as a Remote Sensing Scientist or researcher developing remote sensing applications for the forest, agriculture, mining, and urban landscapes.
xc3xa2xc2x96xc2xaa High competence in processing and retrieving geophysical and biophysical parameters from satellite imagery.
xc3xa2xc2x96xc2xaa Competence in geospatial programming and shell scripting and Python, R, or C++.
xc3xa2xc2x96xc2xaa Experience in using open-source remote sensing and GIS software and geo-databases is required.
