This is a role for someone with serious Tech PR credentials, a deep understanding of Africa's B2B tech landscape, and established media relationships to match. As such, you'll also need to have traditional PR agency experience.
You'll be driving media coverage, shaping digital strategies, working on Digital campaigns, managing budgets, and ensuring the team delivers work that not only meets but exceeds expectations. All while being a rock-solid teammate; supportive, adaptable, and always ready to help others shine.

Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Manage the development and implementation of PR and Digital Marketing plans for up to five Enterprise Tech clients simultaneously (with your team of course)
• Drive key media coverage for your clients with the support of a journalist writer and media relations specialist
• Coordinate and manage Digital Marketing campaigns for optimum results with the Digital team
• Know and understand how to quantify value using digital reporting tools
• Quality assure delivery of the team and its outputs including proposals and pitches
• Monitor expenditures against budgets to ensure targets are met
• Monthly reporting
• Administration of accounts (records, billing, etc.).

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:

• Matric - essential
• Relevant tertiary qualification Degree essential
• 10+ years' relevant Tech PR/ Digital Marketing working experience - essential
• Traditional PR agency experience, i.e. pitching etc.
• Solid understanding of local tech landscape - essential
• Existing tech and business media relations - critical
• Press and digital writing experience - advantageous
• Experience using Google Workspace - advantageous
• Proactively remain abreast of ICT trends and industry knowledge
• Self-study search in order to develop both technical and soft skills
• Actively knowledge-share with colleagues
• Team player
• Technology is in your blood
• Able to self-manage
• Energetic, driven, results-focused, and resourceful
• Able to deal with issues directly and willing to accept full responsibility
• Ability to adapt, be flexible, change gear when needed
• Reliable.
