This is a remote position.
A company in the communications industry is looking for a Property Portfolio Manager to oversee key relationships with landlords across major property portfolios and multiple multi-dwelling units (MDUs). The role is responsible for ensuring commercial agreements are implemented effectively, while identifying and maximising revenue opportunities within the fibre network. This is a remote work from home role, but living in the western cape will be advantageous should there be meetings in office.
Responsibilities:
CONTRACTS AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - MAJOR PROPERTY PORTFOLIOS

  • Procure new major property portfolios.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and commercials for new portfolios.
  • Manage relationships with existing MPP.
  • Review and implement existing and new agreements.
  • Highlight risks.
  • General Project and Program management
  • Collaborate with marketing, product and sales teams on penetration within portfolios to maximize ROI.
CONTRACTS AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT - ACQUISITION PARTNERS
  • Manage relationships with existing acquisitions partners.
  • Review and implement existing and new agreements.
  • Highlight risks and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product and sales teams on penetration within portfolios to maximize ROI.
  • Budget management - provide monthly view on budgets vs actuals and calculate projected cashflow spend on projects
MDU PENETRATION
  • Establish scope of under-performing MDU's nationally.
  • Prioritize MDU's based on penetration.
  • Create targets per MDU to reach penetration KPI's per region.
  • Discuss and draft a project plan with contractors and region representatives to achieve monthly targets.
  • Track progress monthly and report on risk areas.
  • Assess strategies based on progress to evaluate which reaches target market.
  • Align with product and marketing teams on active campaigns ahead and ensure campaigns are added to monthly planning.
  • Do cost planning for campaigns.
  • Do time planning for campaigns.
CONTRACT COMMERCIALIZATION
  • Review current contracts in place with Landlords, contractors, MPP, AP and ensure that contacts are duly executed, and commercials implemented.
  • Ensure that renewals are done with in required time.
  • Engage with Key stakeholders on additional opportunities within contracts and relationships.
MARKET RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential acquisition (estates/MDU's, developments, own builds) opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, asset values, and economic factors to evaluate potential investments.
  • Assess competition and market demand for various types of assets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Economics, Business, or a related field.
2-5 years' experience in the telecommunications industry.
2-5 years' experience in the property sector or property management.
Experience in contract and commercial negotiation.
Project management experience with the ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver.
Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
Strategic and analytical thinker with proven problem-solving ability.
Target and results driven, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Proficiency in relevant systems (e.g. Xero, MS Office, or similar).
A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer relationship management ability.
