Finance Team Leader

About the Role: Finance Team Leader

In this dynamic remote role, you'll be responsible for leading all key areas of finance including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reporting, Banking, and Team Leadership. You'll lead a skilled remote finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full suite of finance functions including AR, AP, payroll, reporting, banking & cashflow Oversee month-end reporting and reconciliations, ensuring data is accurate, timely and insightful Coach and manage a remote team of at least 3 finance professionals, setting clear goals and fostering accountability Collaborate with operational leaders and directors to deliver financial reporting and insights Drive continuous improvement, automation and accuracy across financial workflows Manage supplier and customer relationships professionally, ensuring payment and invoicing processes are effective and well-communicated Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting, tax, and payroll regulations Champion system use (MYOB, Excel, Asana, Teams) and ensure high standards of data integrity and documentation Maintain and co-ordinate finance-related administration including insurance, telecommunications, and IT access

About You

Prior experience working in a service-based industry Minimum 3 years experience leading and co-ordinating a finance team remotely (minimum 3 team members) Demonstrated experience leading all functions within a finance department (including accounts receivable; accounts payable; payroll; banking and reporting) Experienced in working with company financial metrics and leading projects to achieve improvements High level computing skills with prior experience using excel and MYOB Crazy good attention to detail - you must have a 'right the first time' attitude towards your work Ability to think on your feet and forward plan. There are many critical deadlines that you will need to meet in this role so your organisation skills will need to be extraordinary! Reliable internet connection and dual-monitor workstation setup
