The position will report to the Project Warranty Manager. The successful candidate will be based in Randjespark, Midrand.Purpose of the JobManagement of reliability issues, potential / fleet defects to drive the resolution of the technical issues by performing root cause analysis, investigations, and implementation of corrective actions to improve the reliability of the product.Minimum RequirementsEngineering Degree ( Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial).Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).Industrial background with 5 to 7 yearsxe2x80x99 experience preferably in the railway industry.General knowledge in Engineering (mechanical and/or electro-technical).General knowledge of Reliability Growth Management and Warranty Management Processes.General Understanding of SAP/GSI system.Knowledge of problem-solving techniques (8D, Ishikawa, 5 whys, Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC).Team management in an operational environment (5 years).BehaviouralStrong customer orientation.Flexible, Diligent and Adaptable. Can adapt to new ideas and situations.Meets proposed deadlines with ability to work under pressure.Teamwork capacity. Is inspired by the job in hand and inspires others to achieve agreed goals.Main ResponsibilitiesAssess Reliability Growth performance: MTBF, MDBF, Bath tap curve, Maintainability Availability.Solve open reliability issues (K1,K2, K3xe2x80xa6) through 8D problem solving methodology to decrease events of Service Affecting Failures.Manage Reliability Growth with customer and internally (Kx, Field Modifications, xe2x80xa6) to achieve the contractual Reliability targets.Report on Reliability Growth performance and distribute to the relevant internal and external stakeholders.Interface with suppliers and co-ordinate the Reliability Growth performance engagements and Improvements.Monitor and identify new potential fleet defects/ fleet defects and drive the investigations, root cause analysis and permanent corrective solutions.Monitor the start and finish of fleet defect protection period for each batch of trains delivered.Ensure adherence to warranty global processes and contractual commitments.Respect EHS rules and any work-related processes.Manage Customer Fleet defects action plans and ensure weekly / monthly reporting.Closing Date : 22 August 2023Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrowxe2x80x99s mobility.
