Rehabilitation Manager - ParktownIntroductionWe are looking for a Rehabilitation Manager based in Parktown,Johannesburg.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure legislative and policy compliance in all rehabilitation practicesManage and oversee the internal policies, processes and procedure on case management and rehabilitation managementPromote an environment that facilitates innovation, creative solutions, and empowermentAnalyse hospital medical spend and provider usage patternsIdentify and establish potential provider networksConduct risk management by applying mitigating actions appropriatelyMonitor hospital admissions and patient progress weeklyAdjudicate/Authorise requests for hospital admissions, MRI scans, CT scans and chronic medicationAdjudicate requests for additional care and confer with medical personnel prior to decision makingEnsure cost effective patient assessment and treatment plansPromote early discharge and prevent unessential hospital readmissionsObserve and evaluate treatment effect and recommend changes to rehabilitation team and/or medical team where necessaryPerform appropriate rehabilitation assessments on patients if requiredEnsure compliance with patient care standards from service providersCoordinates resources to meet the rehabilitation care needs of the patientDesired Experience & QualificationNQF 7 - Degree in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Social WorkMinimum 5 years of experience as a health professional 3 years of which should be in a team leader capacityExperience in Rehabilitation of the injured preferredCase Management experience advantageousWorking knowledge of the COID ActDemonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in rehabilitation services and modalitiesCase management knowledge and skillExceptional communication skills: Listening, verbal and writtenProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Diagnostic, analytic, and problem-solving skills.Well-developed organisation and time management skillsAbility to build and lead cohesive, successful team(s)Registration with the Nursing Council or H.P.C.S.A for relevant disciplineValid driverxe2x80x99s license
