Job Summary:
The Regulatory Affairs Intern will provide support to the Regulatory Affairs team in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and legislation related to cosmetic products. This role will involve working on various projects related to product registration, ingredient compliance, labeling, and regulatory documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cosmetics, science, and regulatory affairs, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Registration Support:
Assist in the preparation and submission of product registration dossiers to relevant regulatory authorities. This may involve compiling data, reviewing labeling information, and ensuring compliance with specific country requirements.
Ingredient Compliance Review:
Support the review of cosmetic ingredient lists to ensure compliance with international regulations and L'Oreal's internal safety standards. This may include researching ingredient restrictions, checking for compliance with labeling guidelines (INCI names, etc.), and maintaining ingredient databases.
Labeling Review and Compliance:
Assist in the review of product labels to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This involves checking for required information, proper formatting, and accurate claims substantiation.
Regulatory Documentation Management:
Maintain organized records of regulatory documents, including product registrations, safety data sheets, and ingredient information. Assist in the development and maintenance of regulatory databases and tracking systems.
Regulatory Research & Monitoring:
Conduct research on evolving regulatory landscapes and emerging regulations in the cosmetics industry. Monitor regulatory updates and communicate relevant changes to the Regulatory Affairs team.
Administrative Support:
Provide general administrative support to the Regulatory Affairs team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and managing correspondence.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Toxicology, Cosmetic Science) or a related discipline (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Law).
Strong interest in the cosmetics and personal care industry.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong research and analytical abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
