Nursing Degree / Diploma
Current registration with South African Nursing Council
Previous experience in a private hospital environment advantageous
BLS qualification is an advantage

For Maternity Unit :
Post-Basic Midwifery And Neonatal Nursing Science is essential and 2 years experience in maternity ward
Take responsibility for activities related to midwifery which include Act as lead health professional and contact for the expecting mother, Provide full antenatal care, Identify high risk pregnancies, monitor and support expecting mothers during labour and the birthing process, teach new and expectant mothers how to feed, care for and bathe their babies and understand the emotional, physical and psychological process of pregnancy and birth

For Theatre Unit :
Theatre Nursing qualification and 3 years theatre experience is required.
Preparing for theatre cases according to the doctors preference
Carry out basic assessment of patient vital signs, intake and output and accurately monitor and record data relating to patient condition. Escalate any issues to Unit Manager.
Compens Management of stock and equipment utilized in theatre

For AICU :
Qualification in M&S: Critical Care Nursing is essential. Participate actively during a resuscitation where necessary.
Build mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Utilize supplies and equipment in an economical manner reducing wastage whilst maintaining overall control.

For Neonatal and Midwifery :
Qualification in Post-Basic Midwifery And Neonatal Nursing. Document patient care services by accurately charting inpatient and department records including updating care plans as patient needs changes.
Monitor activities of nurses to ensure compliance with protocols, security and safety of patient environment, Group Nursing policies and procedures, SANC requirements on findings through regular unit rounds.
Management of stock and equipment utilized in NICU
Be an ambassador for quality patient care by living the company values and upholding the company image.

Perform nursing duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards
Adhere to the principles and standards of patient advocacy according to the SANC acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, patient rights and Responsibility charter, National Millennium Development goals and the responsibility of continuous professional development (CPD). Supervise, organize, lead and control quality of care work for self and the team adhering to therapeutic standards and goals.
Actively participate in internal and external auditing processes, for example DOH, National core standards, SHERQ, SANC and Risk Audit.
Document and maintain accurate files and records of patient medication and conduct ward rounds including accompanying Doctors and other Medical Practitioners for creating and evaluating customized care plans including implementing.
