at a private hospital in

Strand in Western Cape for a 5 month period from

1 November 2025 - 31 March 2026

Minimum Requirements

Must be available

1 November 2025 - 31 March 2026

Valid SANC licence At least 1 year post-qualification

theatre recovery experience

An additional qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science/Diploma in Critical Care Nursing will be advantageous A good understanding and application of the nursing scope of practice Knowledge of clinical procedures, relevant nursing legislation, the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles Sound knowledge and application of relevant Theatre and CSSD policies and procedures Management of surgical equipment and instruments Infection prevention and control (IPC) principles and protocols Risk Managemen

Duties and Responsibilities

:

Deliver safe, comprehensive and quality peri-operative nursing care according to Scope of Practice.

+ Deliver quality peri-operative nursing care in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team
+ Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety
+ Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment
+ Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
+ Create a learning environment that builds staff competence
+ Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged
