CITY HOSPITAL - 8TH FLOOR MATERNITY JOB TITLE:
PROFESSIONAL NURSE-MIDWIFE x 1 PURPOSE OF POSITION
To Provides age-appropriate patient care according to the nursing scope of practice as defined by the South African Nursing Council (SANC). KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Professional Nurse- Midwife with APC.
Must be compliant with Hospital Policies and Regulations.
Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
Must be able to provide safe, quality patient care in the ward.
Ability to lead and supervise staff.
Attend to patients complaints.
COMPETENCIES (The following will be advantageous)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(Educational Qualifications & Experience)
Must be registered with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
Good Interaction skills with doctors, patients and colleagues is essential.
Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Midwife.
Must be prepared to do shift-work (Night shift / Day Shift)
SKILLS
(Practical & Technical)
Must have excellent telephone skills.
Must possess excellent inter-personal skills.
Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
Excellent observation skills.
Must be computer literate
