26 January 2024 INTERNAL & EXTERNAL VACANCY: REGISTERED NURSE We are seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Registered Nurse at a Care Centre located at a Retirement resort in Century City, Cape Town. The successful candidate will work 12 hours per shift on a roster basis. Job description The required Registered Nurse will promote and deliver quality elderly patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards and to execute Nursing duties within the standards, procedures and protocols set down by the South African Nursing Council. Key Responsibilities xc2xb7 Ensure day to day management and organization of the unit and ward. xc2xb7 Monitor patientxe2x80x99s/residentsxe2x80x99 condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice. xc2xb7 Observe and interpret patientxe2x80x99s/residentsxe2x80x99 symptoms and communicate them to nursing manager/doctor. xc2xb7 Collaborate with doctors and nursing manger to devise individualized care plans for patients/residents. xc2xb7 Administer medication. xc2xb7 Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety. xc2xb7 Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and update patient/residentxe2x80x99s chart. xc2xb7 Supervise and train nursing staff and Care Givers. xc2xb7 Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for elderly patients and their families. xc2xb7 General administrative duties. Requirements xc2xb7 Valid SANC registration as a Registered Nurse xc2xb7 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience as a Registered Nurse xc2xb7 Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures xc2xb7 Proven experience of elderly care, Alzheimerxe2x80x99s/Dementia and frail care xc2xb7 In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) xc2xb7 A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills xc2xb7 Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills xc2xb7 Excellent problem-solving skills Job Type: Full-time Application Deadline: 2024/02/02
