Connection Mental Healthcare PTY ltd is a licenced rehabilitation addiction clinic situated close to the beach front on Rodwell Road, St James, Cape Town. Connection Mental Health Care partners with Connection SGGZ, with headquarters and multiple treatment facilities in the Netherlands.

Our main focus is on the treatment of substance use disorders, behavioural addictions and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. Individualized and patient-centered care is provided to 24 patients.

Treatment takes place in a multi-disciplinary setting. This team of engaged and qualified professionals guarantees a personal and goal-directed approach based on current evidence based treatment practices. We are guided by high quality care, satisfied patients and enjoyment in our work. Place in the organisation

The registered nurse forms part of the nursing department and reports to the nursing manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities

The registered nurse is responsible to render nursing care to the patients. This is done in close collaboration with the nursing team, nursing manager, general practitioner, psychiatrist and clinical team. As a registered nurse the core tasks of the job entail, amongst other things:

Admission, discharges Medication administration Monitoring of vital signs Render medical and psychiatric nursing care Nursing documentation Other administrative tasks

Job requirements

Registered nurse licenced with the South African Nursing Council Preferred minimum of two years nursing experience Psychiatric nursing and addiciton treatment experience is preferred A passion to work in the field of addiction treatment Computer literacy Police Clearance Certificate may be requested
